The 2026/27 Swengland season is under way. There are no Matchleague fixtures in Gameweek 1, as always, with those starting in Gameweek 2. That gives you a chance to get a look at your first opponent before the opening games, while we also welcome the new managers and take an early look at the Masterleagues.

Three new managers join us this season. Dave Clark and Dhillon Lalji come into the British contingent, while Yngve Johansson joins from Sweden. Dave has also, bravely, gone straight into the Reality League.

Lars Oberg and Mariela Rea Oberg have both entered second teams for the first time, with KNEEJERK TITANS FC and PELUQUEROS ILEGALES, which translates as "Illegal Hairdressers". A few other teams have changed their names too, so keep your eyes open and see if you can spot them.

Bertil Andersson and Anders Larsson have also taken on the Reality League this season.

There is just one departure from last season. Farewell to Arvid Larsson, and thanks for being part of Swengland.

Masterleagues

UNBEATABLES take the first overall AllSwengland lead after a superb 89 points, narrowly ahead of MOATYS MANIACS on 87 and FOREVERGAIS on 84.

UNBEATABLES being top already feels a little ominous. They have been one of the strongest teams in Swengland for years, and they are straight back at it.

One of the best starts came from newcomer Yngve Johansson, whose LIVERHAM scored 73 points to go straight to the top of Masterleague 2. Lars Oberg's new KNEEJERK TITANS FC also started well with 60.

In the Reality Masterleague, FOREVERGAIS lead the way with 84 points, ahead of UNBEATABLES RL and WILLS WINGDINGS RL on 70.
