Preseason
What is Swengland?
Swengland is our long-running Anglo-Swedish Fantasy Premier League competition, founded in 1994. We use scores from the official Fantasy Premier League game but add our own leagues, Matchleagues, cup competitions, promotion and relegation, and weekly and monthly awards.
You build and manage your squads through the official Fantasy Premier League website in the normal way. You can enter two separate teams at no extra cost.
How does it work?
AllSwengland and the Masterleagues
We enter every eligible team into the AllSwengland Ligan, where teams are ranked by their total FPL points across the season.
We also place teams in our Masterleagues, which include promotion and relegation between divisions. We also run separate British and Swedish Masterleagues, as well as the Swengland Champions League for previous competition winners.
Matchleagues
Our Matchleagues work like a traditional football league, with a full fixture list and a different opponent each gameweek. Teams are placed in the Matchleague Premier, Division 1 or Division 2 and compete in weekly head-to-head matches throughout the season.
At the end of the season, teams can win the title, earn promotion or be relegated, just as they would in a football league.
Reality League
The Reality League is an optional, smaller but prestigious competition that adds a touch of realism to FPL transfers. Managers can only bring players in and out of their teams during the official Premier League transfer windows. Can you build a team that will keep performing throughout the season?
Reality League teams compete in their own Reality Masterleague and Reality Matchleague, as well as the John Walsh Cup.
Cup Competitions
Throughout the season, we organise several knockout cup competitions, including the SuperEtten Cup, Arnold Bolt Trophy, Bror Lefin Trophy and John Walsh Cup.
John and I also host live cup draws during the season, adding a bit of occasion, suspense and the occasional technical difficulty to proceedings.
Some rounds are decided over a single gameweek, while others are played over two legs.
Awards and Updates
We recognise the best performances through awards including Team of the Week, Team of the Month and Manager of the Week. We also publish fixtures, results, league tables, cup draws and weekly updates on the Swengland website.
You manage your FPL teams as normal and we do the rest, turning your scores into a full season of league fixtures, title races, promotion battles, relegation scraps, cup runs and rivalry.
